Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Rolehike (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Third Stone Software LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“the Company”). You can reach us at support@rolehike.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Rolehike, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country to buy a subscription. Keep your sign-in secure; we offer two-step sign-in and passkeys and recommend turning one on. Give a working email address: it is how account recovery works.

3. What the Service is — and is not

Rolehike tracks your applications, finds and ranks job postings, and drafts resumes, cover letters, answers and messages from the material you give it, using AI. Drafts are suggestions for you to check and send yourself. We flag claims a draft makes that your own material doesn’t support, but you are responsible for everything you send to an employer being true. Rolehike never submits an application for you. Match scores, pay ranges, interview likelihood and similar figures are estimates from the data available, not guarantees, and we don’t promise any particular result from your search.

Rolehike is software for job seekers. It isn’t a job board: we don’t host job listings, employers can’t post jobs or pay us, and we sell no advertising. Job postings come from public job boards, company career pages and pages you send us. We don’t control them and don’t vouch for any employer. We never fetch pages from sites that forbid it; postings from those reach Rolehike only from your own browser, one page at a time.

4. Free and Pro

The core of Rolehike — tracking, imports, the resume editor and ATS check, contacts, interviews, offers, goals and a monthly allowance of AI requests — is free, with no time limit. The optional Rolehike Pro subscription adds more AI each month and the work Rolehike does for you overnight (application kits, daily scans, inbox watch, a weekly review, pay and negotiation insights), billed monthly or every 3 months. Purchases are processed by Paddle as merchant of record: Paddle is the seller for your transaction, handles payment and applicable taxes, and appears on your statement. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; Pro continues to the end of the period you paid for, and nothing you made is deleted when a subscription ends. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price change affects a renewal. See the Refund Policy for refunds.

5. Connected accounts

If you connect a mailbox or Google account, you allow Rolehike to read it, read-only, for replies about jobs you track, and (for Google) to add interviews to your calendar. You can disconnect at any time from Account. You must only connect accounts that are yours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or try to reach accounts or data that aren’t yours;
• probe, overload or disrupt the Service (rate limits exist and are enforced);
• use Rolehike to mislead employers, impersonate someone, or send applications in another person’s name;
• resell the Service, or scrape it or use automated means to extract data other than your own;
• upload content you don’t have the right to, or content that is malicious.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Account; deletion is immediate and irreversible and removes your data as the Privacy Policy describes.

7. Your content

What you put into Rolehike — your history, resumes, letters, notes and the rest — is yours. You give us the licence needed to store and process it only to provide the Service to you, including processing by the AI provider that writes drafts, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t use it to train AI models, and our AI provider doesn’t either. You can download everything at any time from Account.

8. Availability, warranties and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied; we don’t warrant that it or its outputs are error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (for free accounts, to the minimum amount permitted by law). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited, or affects statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

9. Changes to the Service or these terms

We improve the Service continuously and may add, change or retire features. If we make material changes to these terms we will tell you (by email or in the app) before they take effect; using the Service after that is acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts located in Minnesota — except that consumers keep any mandatory protections and venue rights of their country or state of residence.
